Private Commissions

I do take private non-SCA commissions.  Use the Contact page to send me a message.  I charge for materials, plus an hourly rate.

SCA Scroll Commissions

For SCA commissions, send me an email (available on the Northshield website) and we can work out the details.  I only ask for compensation to cover the cost of materials if you would like the scroll on real parchment, with real gold leaf, or with period pigments.  Any other compensation you can consider a tip.

We’ll have a conversation, and I’ll ask you some questions:

• When do you need it by?
• What size are you thinking?
• Is this a surprise for someone else?
• Do you know what time period, location, or specific style you want?  (I am happy to assist you in narrowing this down, or you can leave it up to me for a surprise).
• Do you know what materials you’d like?
• Any specific things you’d like included in the illumination (heraldic devices or badges, animals, colors, etc)?
• If the illumination will feature a depiction of you and/or other people, what garb/headgear/poses would you like?
• Any specific things you’d like mentioned in the scroll text?
• What is the exact spelling of your name as you’d like it to appear on the scroll?
• Should the scroll text be in English?
